Instructions for using the Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner

Step 1: Plug in the device and wait until the white indicator light starts flashing.

Step 2: Fill the tank with clean water. Do not fill beyond the indicated maximum capacity of 200 ml to ensure optimal performance.

Step 3: Place the items in the cleaner and make sure they are fully submerged.

Step 4: Select a mode and start the cleaning cycle:
Quick Clean: 180 seconds
Deep Clean: 300 seconds + UV light for extra hygiene

Step 5: Rinse the items with tap water after the cycle is finished.

Step 6: Empty the tank and dry the Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner with a cloth.

Mode Deep (Deep cleaning)

• Press the switch; the white light turns on and the blue light flashes.
• The display shows 600 seconds and then starts the 10-minute cleaning cycle.
• The unit runs in cycles of 5 seconds vibration and 2 seconds pause, while the UV lamps operate in sync.
• The device automatically switches to standby afterwards. Always unplug the unit from the power outlet when you are finished using it.

Safety precautions

• Do not use the Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner with UV light for wooden, leather or porous materials.
• Make sure the items are fully submerged, but do not fill the water above the maximum level.
• Unplug the unit from the power outlet and switch off the Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner once the cleaning cycle is finished.

   Dental items: aligners, retainers, dentures. You can also use it to clean toothbrush heads. Note: It is not suitable for wooden or leather materials, porous surfaces or items that cannot be fully submerged in water.
2. How often can I clean my products with the Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner?
   As often as needed. For optimal hygiene, daily cleaning is recommended.
3. What makes cleaning with the Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner more effective than cleaning tablets?
   A cleaning tablet works like a mouthwash for your aligner – it removes surface debris but does not reach deeper residues and buildup. The Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner uses ultrasonic vibrations to loosen debris from every corner, effectively removing stubborn buildup and residues. This helps prevent accumulation of unwanted deposits and keeps your aligner feeling fresh.
4. Why shouldn’t I use a toothbrush for cleaning?
   Cleaning your aligner or retainer with a toothbrush is not recommended. While a toothbrush can remove surface dirt, it also causes microscopic scratches in the material. This can lead to a cloudy appearance, faster buildup of residue and less comfortable wear. In addition, a toothbrush cannot reach all the hard-to-clean areas, so debris is left behind. The Oral Icon® Ultrasonic Cleaner cleans thoroughly without damaging the material, helping your aligner last longer and stay comfortable to wear.
